The role of academic institutions in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on university campuses has become more important than ever. Based on this principle, integrating the SDGs and sustainability in general into courses and academic curricula at the level of colleges and institutes has become a key objective.

There are many curricula and academic courses at the colleges and institutes of the University of Baghdad that have incorporated the Sustainable Development Goals either directly or indirectly. This is done to strengthen the academic role, keep pace with modern global requirements, align with the goals of the United Nations, and address emerging challenges.
