We are pleased to announce the reopening of the glasshouse in the Botanical Garden of the Life Sciences Department at the College of Education for Pure Science (Ibn Al-Haitham) – University of Baghdad! The first phase of the glasshouse’s rehabilitation has been completed, which included replacing the glass, ventilation system, and sprinkler and drip irrigation systems.
This glasshouse is an important resource for our students and researchers, and it plays a vital role in our efforts to promote sustainable development. The glasshouse is used for a variety of purposes, including:
Plant research: The glasshouse provides a controlled environment for researchers to study plant growth and development.
Teaching: The glasshouse is used to teach students about plant biology, ecology, and horticulture.
Outreach: The glasshouse is used to educate the public about the importance of plants and the need for sustainable agriculture.
